Ana Cláudia Correia Coelhosofias
Ana Cláudia Coelho received her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). After doing her Master in Health Promotion and Health Education, in 2001, she became Assistant at UTAD, and in 2006 obtained her PhD in Veterinary Sciences. Currently, she is Assistant Professor with "Agregação" in the Veterinary Sciences Department at UTAD, lecturing Infectious Diseases, Public Health and Epidemiology. She is a member of the Animal and Veterinary Research Centre (CECAV). She participates in several projects. The primary fields of research interest are related to zoonosis in the One Health approach, mycology, mycobacteriology, infection control and biosafety. She has authored or co-authored 87 (67 ISI) research papers; 13 book chapters; 193 paper or abstracts in international meetings. She supervised 2 PhD and 57 MSc students.
Between 2014 and 2013 she was the Head of Biosafety Nucleus of the Integrated Master in Veterinary Medicine, UTAD. Since 2017 she is the Head of Biosafety Committee of UTAD.
