Ana Margarida Lourenço Silva Marquessofias
Ana Marques completed her Biology degree in 2011 at the University of Aveiro (UA) and received her Master degree in Applied Biology in 2013 (UA). During her academic course, she had participated in 2 FCT projects and authored or co-authored 8 research papers and 19 conference presentations. She is currently conducting her PhD in the PhD Programme on Biology in UA, entitled “Marine seaweeds as functional food and its biotechnological potential – screening of DNA protection ability and sub-sequential health benefits”. She is simultaneously member of the Veterinary and Animal Research Centre (CECAV) and the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM).
