Anabela Gouveia Antunes Alvessofias
Anabela G. A. Alves received his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1988 from the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Lisbon University. In 1989 she became Assistant at UTAD and in 2000 obtained his PhD and in 2008 the Habilitation degree in Veterinary Scienses. Currently, she is Auxiliary Professor of the Veterinary Sciences Department at UTAD and member of the Animal and Veterinary Research Centre (CECAV). She participates in several projects for example “Chronic Wasting Disease Risk Assessment in Portugal” funding POCI-01-0145-FEDER-029947 and “Técnicas de Controlo das Concentrações de Amoníaco em Instalações Avícolas” funding FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC) and FEDER. The primary fields of research interest are related to anatomic veterinary pathology. She has authored or co-authored 28 (23 ISI) research papers; 7 book chapters; 134 paper or abstracts in international and national meetings. She supervised 3 PhD, 3 international PhD sutudents, and 2 MSc students.
